The Usage of antibiotic to delay premature birth bring in controversy among experts in UK. Some researchers found that this practical can cause harmful effect for the baby in long term.

Both types of these antibiotics are believed can treated primary infection that can cause the mother gave birth prematurely.

If the mother was diagnosed with an infection that can cause premature birth, the MRC said that it doesn’t matter to give her the antibiotic, because it is expected to save the lives.
