Tween Girl Summit 2009: Where Tween Girls Talk and Adults Listen
This October, for the first time ever, a national Tween Summit is being held, so that girls ages 9-14 can be heard. Hundreds of tween girls will be attending as well as parents, experts, politicians and celebrities. And tickets for tween girls are free.
The Tween Summit will take place Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. Tween girls between 9 and 14 will be given a platform to share their thoughts and opinions on a wide variety of subjects. Teen girls 15 or older can apply to be a Teen Volunteer at the Summit. It will be a jam-packed day of sessions, meals, and special guests, ending with an exclusive rock concert. They are trying get Michelle Obama and her tween daughters to attend. Parents go to many of the same events as the tweens but there are also some separate events.
